Since 1973 professional collaborator at the Geodesy and Geophysics Institute of the University of Bologna.
In 1982 "Laurea" degree in Physics at the University of Bologna.
From October 1982 to October 1992, researcher at the "Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica" (ING) of Rome (Italy).
From November 1992 to October 1995, associate professor of Solid Earth Geophysics at the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Florence, (Italy).
From November 1995 to September 2007, associate professor of
Solid Earth Geophysics at the
Department of Physics of the
University of Bologna.
From October 2007 to present, full professor of Solid Earth Geophysics at the Department of Physics of the University of Bologna.
