Born in Bologna (Italy) at the dawn of September 2, 1954 (Virgo/Virgo).
Since 1973 professional operator at the Geodesy and Geophysics Institute of the University of Bologna.
In 1982 took the "Laurea" degree in Physics at the University of Bologna.
From October 1982 to October 1992, researcher at the "Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica" (ING) of Rome (Italy).
From November 1992 to October 1995, associate professor of Solid Earth Geophysics at the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Florence, (Italy).
From November 1995 to present, associate professor of Solid Earth Geophysics at the Department of Physics of the University of Bologna.
Member of the American Geophysical Union , of the European Geophysical Union and of the " Associazione Coro Armônia"
